We’ve shown you ways to make freestanding IKEA wardrobes look more expensive, and today it’s all about how to make them appear built-in and custom. I combed the internet for the best â? and in many cases amazing â? times that PAX grew to become part of a room’s architecture, plus looks as if it was born presently there.
Malcolm Begg of Design 69 is obviously a genius because he identified how to cut a PAX with an angle before tucking it beneath the eaves of his upstairs Victorian bedroom. Between the fit, as well as the tricked out doors, these are so. nicely. done.
Above, Fiona of Around the Houses actually inherited the particular long lines of PAX wardrobes in her home, but was not enthralled by the MDF panel doorways. So, using some H& M drapes, she created a wall mural associated with sorts that is dramatic and so gorgeous.
There are a couple of reasons this bedroom storage stands out: the curved design, the open cubby storage space stacked above the unit, and the precious metal ring pulls. All combined Christina created some super stylish storage space that’s out in the open, but packages the punch of a walk-in wardrobe.
This green unit from Design*Sponge really fills the space between ground and ceiling, The SemiHandmade doorways with custom molding finish off the appearance and give it an old-world attractiveness, befitting this pre-war Brooklyn house.
Similar to SemiHandmade is Scandinavian A. S. Helsingo, which generates doors to fit IKEA wardrobes. Their room above takes it one step further by painting the cupboards the same color as the walls, which usually unifies everything further.
I can’t state these wardrobes are IKEA for certain, but it’s highly likely (and if not, still a whole heck of the lot of inspiration). What I like concerning this look is the pencil-thin trim across the periphery of the doors, along with the improved hardware and matte black color job. The curtain hung from your cabinets’ right side might just give a little extra hiding spot for additional stuff. Bonus!
Technically, Ashlea utilized a DOMBAS as the base on her built-ins, but the idea is the exact same. Once she found it was an ideal fit, she raised the unit because they build a base, then clad the edges in shiplap to match the rest of the girl home.
And just because PAX was created as a wardrobe, doesn’t make it unacceptable for the kitchen. Brittany Makes discussed her new kitchen pantry, equipped with charcoal grey doors plus brass pulls, which looks here at home next to another set of built-in
